Persepolis wins 2-0 to stand 2nd &nbsp;<img src="http://www.persianleague.com/images/pic.gif" border="0" width="13" height="11">

PLDC - In the 7th week of the Iranian Professional League, Persepolis faced Fajr Shiraz at home and won the match with the result of 1-0. The match was played in front of 12,000 fans who relentlessly cheered on their teams. The first half of the match was played on a low key without many incidents and with caution on both sides.

The goal by Persepolis in the first half was scored by Payan Rafaat in the 37th minute from a corner which was shot and returned twice by Persepolis players and on the second rebound, Rafaat scored it. The first half ended after two minutes of injury time.

The second half was played off very well and smoothly with both teams performing well. There was a lot of action to be seen. Fajr missed two opportunities to score in the 1st and 10th minutes. Persepolis played a better game and was in control in this half. The 2nd goal for Persepolis was scored by Golmohammadi in the 80th minute. The match ended after 4 minutes of injury time.

Persepolis has now taken up 2nd place in the league table with 14 points which is 5 points behind the league toppers Sepahan. Fajr has climbed down one place to 3rd.
