AFC - Iranian international midfielder Karim Bagheri could be set for a return to English league football after revealing that he is in talks with two English clubs. Speaking to IranMania on Tuesday, Bagheri indicated that he has already held talks with two unnamed teams. "I have spoken to a Premier English League and a first division English club. I have told them my conditions and everything will become clear in the next few days," said Bagheri, who currently plays for Qatar League side Al Sadd. Bagheri's previous spell in English football was a disappointment as he made only a handful of appearances for Charlton Athletic during the 2000-01 season. "The fact that I was not very successful in Charlton of England had its reasons. It was because I was away from the club for 4 months and I was at the Iranian National Team camp. This was why the team and I became distanced," said the 28-year-old. "This time things are different. I will not return to the National Team. [Iranian national coach] Branko Ivancovic contacted me and asked me to reconsider things but I don't want to play for the National Team any more," added Bagheri, who announced his retirement from international football in February.
