Giovanni May, “We should have scored five”

PLDC - According to Giovanni May, head coach of Saipa, the result is more important than a good performance and he will try from this week on to emphasize on the results than other factors. This statement may or may not be true but Saipa is 7th in the league table and they lost to Sepahan in the 8th week with the score of 3-0 which is a cause for concern.

May went on to say that he was satisfied with the performance of his boys in the Sepahan match, but he did not think that they deserved a 3-0 loss. If the opportunities had been used well, Saipa would have won with the result of 5-3 which of course does not change anything at this stage.

May also believes that Esteghlal is one of the best clubs in the country with a strong fan support but with what he has seen from the club recently, Saipa may win in the 9th week against them, if they play well.
