PLDC - In the 8th week of the Iranian Professional League Esteghlal Tehran defeated Peykan Tehran with the score of 2-1. Javad Zarincheh, Estehglal Tehran player, was replaced in the second half of the match by the head coach, Roland Koch.

It appears that Zarincheh chose to sit the game out owing to an injury received in the first half. If he had not been hurt, the experienced captain and defender of the club would have been allowed to fulfill his role for the full ninety minutes of the match.
