Haghdoost will make up for kindness of chairman

PLDC - Davood Haghdoost, Peykan defender, missed his chance to score a penalty in the Esteghlal Tehran and Peykan Tehran match which ended with the score of 2-1, in the 8th week of the Iranian Professional League. In an interview with the press after the match he commented, “During the match with Esteghlal, I was not under physical or mental stress. I did my job well and comfortably and I even managed to trick Tabatabaei when I shot
the penalty, but it was not my lot to score it.”

“This is the continuation of the jinx on Peykan. I am sorry about not scoring the penalty but I promise to make up for it in the future and I thank the technical staff for their trust in me. This game showed that Zolfagharnasab allows us to play an offensive game but some say the tactics are defensive. We have been unlucky but we will soon find our proper place again.”

“I will try to make up for the kindness of Zolfagharnasab. The whole team is tired of the present situation and reaching ideal conditions needs the cooperation of all the players. Everyone has been trying to comfort me after our loss. We all played well in this match and the defenders were great too but the penalty spoiled everything.”
