Persepolis a disappointment in the 6th week

PLDC - The 0-0 draw between Persepolis and Esteghlal Ahwaz, in the 6th week of the Iranian Professional League, on Friday, 7/12/2002, was the most disappointing match of the week. The ninety minute battle of the champions of the last season with the bottom of the table Esteghlal Ahwaz was not only tedious but a bore for the referee, Jalal Moradi. Playing without any apparent motivation, Persepolis seemed distracted and made mistakes throughout the game.

The fans were not entertained and neither were the Persepolis staff. For Esteghlal Ahwaz the result seems satisfactory and has given them slight hope. The third place in the league table is now occupied by Persepolis who has 11 points. Esteghlal Ahwaz is in 12th place with 5 points.
