Atletico Madrid, but also 2 other Spanish clubs interested in Iranian Ali Karimi

MEF - DUBAI, Dec. 6: The manager if Iranian attacking stalwart Ali Karimi revealed today “Atletico Madrid have tabled a $1 million to gain the services of the player for one year.

“Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna have also showed interest in Karimi, but without cashing in any fixed price-tag,” added the manager.

Karimi, who plays his club football at Al-Ahly of Dubai for the second year running, is undeniably one of the most consistent and entertaining strikers, a versatile player who can parade also behind the front-runners thanks to his eye to goal and impressive individual talents.

“Atletico Madrid representatives were here last week in Dubai, to monitor the player’s rounding in league action,” added his manager, Iranian Abou Al-Fadhl Jalali.

“They were impressed by the instrumental form of the player in the Asian Champions’ League campaign, but Karimi is adamant he wants to honour his contract tying him with Al-Ahly till the end of June, before entering any serious negotiations with European clubs,” he underlined.
