Comments on the Persepolis – Machin Sazi match

PLDC - In the continuation of the Elimination Cup matches, Machin Sazi of Tabriz faced Persepolis of Tehran at home and lost the match with the score of 1-0 on Friday, 15th November. Afshin Peyrovani, defender, scored the only goal of the match for Persepolis in the 14th minute. Below is the various comments made by Parvin and a few Persepolis players after the match:

Parvin, the head coach of Persepolis,“Everything was fine. I am happy with the result and team performance. The refereeing had no problems. We played cautiously as we had won the away leg and had no worries. We 
will play better in the next match against Abu Moslem.”

Peyrovani, “Although we scored, we lost many other opportunities because of a lack of attention to the game. We played a good game. Persepolis has very good defenders and our goal scoring problem will be solved soon. I congratulate everyone on this victory.”

Bahonar, Persepolis defender, “We could have scored more goals. Machin Sazi performed well and made a number of attacks in the second half. Persepolis though had more experience and prevented them from gaining the 
advantage. I am glad about the results we got.”

Jamshidi of Persepolis, “In this match Persepolis showed that it is becoming more and more coordinated. The players reacted to each other well on the pitch and we were successful. We will become the champions of the Elimination Cup this season and we intend to get very good results.”
