Fajr still on top of League table

PLDC - The second week of the Iranian Professional League began on a better note than the first week. The teams appeared more prepared and that was probably the reason why there were half the number of goals scored as compared with the first week of the league. 

Fajr Shiraz has so far performed unexpectedly well in the Iranian Professional League and they are still the top team after the second week matches. Fajr managed to defeat Foolad Khouzestan at home with the score of 1-0. The goal for Fajr Shiraz was scored by Mahmood Khorazmi in minute 20 of the first half. This has now put the club from Shiraz in the spot light. Foolad Khouzestan has to be satisfied with the 7th place in 
the League table and they now have to deal with the stream of criticism which will be coming its way after the successful results of the last season.

Persepolis, last season league champions, now retain second place in the league. In the second week they defeated Peykan of Tehran with the score of 1-0. Amir Hossien Aslanian (also the best player of the match)  scored the Persepolis goal in the 92nd minute of the game. This places Peykan 11th in the table.
