Pas defeats Malavan with 2 goals

PLDC - The first match in the second week of the Iranian Professional League, between Pas and Malavan took place on Thursday, 24/10/2002 which was won by Pas with the score of 2-0. The match which got off to a sluggish start ended as a 0-0 draw in the first half. The first half was played with both teams trying to find an edge against the other and making a number of unsuccessful offensives. Pas was clearly the better team and they managed to wear down their opponents eventually. Khodadad Azizi played well but was not effective in the first half and was changed before the break due to severe injury.

The second half was more exciting and Malavan of course became tired. Hedayati of Pas scored the first goal for his team in the 78th minute. This was followed by a second strike from Khatibi of Pas in the 84th minute which found its mark and gave Pas the aggregate win. Pas now holds three points from their first victory.
