Kaabi, “Fans threw stones at us”

PLDC - Hossien Kaabi, the midfield player of Foolad Khouzestan, is popular with the club head coach, Vinco Begovic. He spoke about the week one match between Foolad and Esteghlal of Ahvaz which ended with the 2-1 victory of Foolad, “It was not a good game. The whole match was a string of fights and disputes. The Esteghlal fans spoiled the match. It was terrible.”

“We underestimated the opponents. We did not believe it when they scored against us. But the second half gave us better results and we got control of the game. The changes by Begovic were also effective. The worst 
problem was the fans. They began throwing stones at us when we entered the pitch at the start of the game and it was really scary.”

“The Esteghlal Ahwaz fans may be denied entry into any stadium for a few weeks and this may teach them a lesson not to repeat their actions.”
