Blazevic hints he may coach Bosnia

ZAGREB, Jan 18 IRNA/Reuters -- Croatian coach of Iran's national football team Miroslav Blazevic may take on the Bosnian national side after turning down an offer to remain in charge of Iran.

"Don't write it's a done deal because it isn't," the maverick
66-year old coach told Jutarnji List daily on Friday, "But," he added, "Actually, you can say that I am going to
(Bosnian capital) Sarajevo".

The Bosnian FA was not available for comment. Local media said
Blazevic, who was born in Bosnia, may miss out because of opposition within the Bosnian FA and tipped assistant coach Blaz Sliskovic as a possible successor to Miso Smajlovic.

"The atmosphere (in Bosnia) is changing. I am a person of a
conciliatory nature," Blazevic told the daily.

Blazevic quit as Iran coach in November after failing to lead them
to the World Cup finals and has recently rejected an offer to stay on for another four years.

Blazevic led Croatia to a surprising third place at the 1998 World
Cup in France but stepped down after poor results in the following two years.

Last month he was seen as a candidate to become Ukraine coach but
the job went to assistant coach Leonid Buryak, an ex-Soviet international.
