AFC - Pirouzi assistant coach Naser Ebrahimi says that his club are determined to win the inaugural AFC Champions League title, and is confident that the Iranian club giants are fully equipped for the tough season ahead on the domestic and regional front. The Iranian league champions have been seeded in Group D with Iraqi club Al Talaba, and will commence their campaign in March when the group stage of the tournament gets under way. Ebrahimi is confident that his team will prevail in their group and progress to a semi-final meeting against one of their regional adversaries. "We do not have the worries from last season," said Ebrahimi. "We are aiming to retain the Iranian championship title and we are also planning to win the AFC Champions League. "We have about 2 or 3 key players in every position this season and are improving everyday" |
