Sepahan, who was beaten by Persepolis in its last two games, could not get revenge in the match held at Fuladshahr Stadium.
Sepehr Heydari’s injury time goal, gave Persepolis a championship last season in the final game of the IPL.
The Tehran-based football team won over Sepahan 3-2 in the first half of the current season as well.
Persepolis remains third with 49 points, followed by Sepahan with 48 points.
