Daei: Victory made me happy

MNA - Iran football coach Ali Daei said on Sunday that he is so happy because of the victory over Qatar in a friendly match.
Iran beat Qatar 1-0 in a warm-up game ahead of the UAE match in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers to be held on November 19th in Dubai.

“I am so pleased due to this victory. They defended very well yet we eventually took advantage of our infrequent chances. In absence of our European-based players we benefited greatly from our young lads,” said Ali Daei at the news conference after Qatar-Iran match in Doha.

“They wanted to prove themselves and I thank them all because of their efforts. This game can help us have a good performance against the UAE in the World Cup qualifiers because of the similarity between the two teams,” added Iran coach.
