PLDC - Saipa Team Head Coach remarked: In the match against Esteghlal Tehran, we were the superior team and should have scored 5 goals against them. According to the Fars News Agency, Ali Daei (Saipa Team Head Coach) spoke in presence of Journalists after the victory against Esteghlal Tehran, remarking: MY players had high motivation. They performed well. Saipa was the better team on the field. He continued: We object to the fact that when we scored the 3rd goal, the referee dismissed it. The referee did not make good judgment calls and blew against us. WE deserved better. Daei emphasized: Except for the first 15 minutes of the game, we were the better team for the rest of the game and could have defeated Esteghlal with 5 goals. He also added: I will not comment on the rival performance and will content myself with my own team. Saipa will improve continually. I want us to be a deserving representative of Iran in the Asian Championship League.
He remarked that he would formally apologize
to Hejazi as he was a respected old hand but that winning the game was their
right. |
