PLDC - Not the best of days in Perspolis football team this week after the shock defeat against Paykan last Friday. Whether is bad luck or a series of bad performances by the Red giants, Perspolis is now out for the contention for the league title and needs a miracle to win the title this season. After two consecutive losses Perspolis now sits 12 points behind the leaders, Saipa, which the Reds will face this coming Friday in a crucial week 21 match up. Trainings were held this week as usual however Mustafa Denizli has been absent due to sickness and he is expected to recover for tomorrow's training and he will certainly be with the team in Azadi to lead his team against Saipa on Friday. There are no major injuries reported from the camp, even though Olang Olang has been restricted to running around the practice filed due to disciplinary reason, according to our sources. The new signing, Syrian national team defender is eligible to play this Friday against Saipa. Even though the Reds see themselves siting fifth on the table, three important games against Saipa, PAS and their arch rival Esteghlal in the next 3 weeks can turn around their destiny and 3 wins can put Perspolis back among the title challengers. However, with the current series of bad luck and below average performances of some key few players, 9 points out of the next three games seems extremely difficult Perspolis will face Saipa on Friday at 4 PM in Azadi stadium.
