Theo de Jong, New Esteghlal Coach

AMSTERDAM - Theo de Jong, current Assistant coach of the NT of Cameroon, immediately leaves Cameroon. He becomes the coach of Iranian champion Esteghlal. Tomorrow, the dutch ex-national team player will sign a contract in Tehran, for 1,5 year.

It is De Jong's second adventure in Iran. First he was the assistant-coach of Arie Haan at Esteghlal's rival, Persepolis. The Dutchman follows Samad Marfavi, ex-NT player of iran and player of Esteghlal up, after bad results. The club stands second and is 6 points behind number one Saipa.
