IPL midseason ends with Esteqlal win over Fulad

MNA – The curtain fell on midseason of the sixth Iran Pro League (IPL) with the 1-0 victory of Esteqlal over Fulad in a derby in Takhti Stadium in the southern capital Ahvaz Saturday.

Striker Milad Meydavudi scored the sole goal of the match after 55 minutes.

Esteqlal jumped four places, standing fourth in the 16-strong table on 25 points.

The IPL-winning Fulad sticks to rock bottom with nine points.

Pacesetter SAIPA has 34 points while the second-placed Esteqlal of Tehran has garnered 30 points and Persepolis has collected 25.
