| PFDC- Next year of the IPL
will see three teams from the Southern part of Iran. Sanat Naft of Abadan
and Esteghlal of Ahvaz both advanced to the Iran Pro League topping the Semifinal clashes of the first division. Sanat Naft of Abadan, being one of the oldest contenders in the Iranian history of the league, was relegated to the second division two years ago. Naft needed only a draw against Nasaji to advance and their match in Abadan saw no goals. The Iranian veteran and 1978 Argentina World Cup player, Ebrahim Ghasempour coached and led his home town (Abadan) team back to their deserved place amongst the elite in Iran. Sanat Naft captured 9 points to stand in the second place after Ahvaz. Esteghlal of Ahvaz beat Shamooshak of Noshahr in their own turf with 0:1 to stand at the top with 10 points. It will be very exiting to see a competition between the Southern teams in Iran in the next IPL. This year's relegated teams in IPL are: Tracktorsazi of Tabriz and Esteghlal of Rasht.
