Tehran mayor praises national football team

TEHRAN – In a special ceremony on Tuesday, members of the national football team were praised by Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf for leading Iran into the 2006 World Cup to be held in Germany.

Members of the national team’s technical committee, high-ranking officials from the Football Federation and Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi also attended the ceremony.
