West Asian U-15 football tournament switched to Karaj

TEHRAN - Iran's Football Federation (IFF) Monday named Karaj, 35km west of the capital, as the new host of the West Asian Under-15 Football Championships.

Earlier Hamedan was to play host to the event. The IFF has yet to announce the reason behind the change in the venue.

Karaj Football Board head Ahmad Fazli said everything is ready for holding the competitions in Shariati Stadium.

Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon will attend the weeklong Asian meet, which starts on July 21.
