IRNA - Bayern Munich striker Vahid Hashemian will miss today's Bundesliga home match against Schalke 04 because of an ankle injury, the Sport 1 Online site reported Friday.

Hashemian suffered the ankle injury during Iran's first-round World Cup qualifying match against Qatar in Doha on Wednesday.

The Iranian star player scored two vital goals for Iran during his team's 3-2 victory against Qatar in the first round of the Asian World Cup qualifying round.
