Tehran- Pirouzi missed the chance to lead the table in the 17th week of Iran Pro League Tuesday as its clash against struggling Abu Moslem in Mashhad ended in a draw. Determined to beat the visitor reds, Abu Moslem of Khorasan took the lead in the 13th minute when Ahmad Feiz-Karimloo's curling free-kick found top corner of the net. Pirouzi skipper Afshin Peyrovani made it 1-1 after one minute into the injury time of first half when his bicycle kick kissed the net. In the second time, Abu Moslem made numerous attacks in the first 10 minutes but the reds' goalkeeper Davoud Fanaei and the post denied the host side. Veteran midfielder of Pirouzi, Hamid Estili, missed a goal-scoring opportunity, hitting the post and his teammate Sohrab Entezari's low shot was sent out by diving goalie of Abu Moslem in a man-to-man challenge.
Pirouzi is at the second place of table with 33 points and its archrival, Esteghlal, who has won 34 points from 17 games is leader. Today Results : 16 Apr 2002 (14:00) Peykan(1) Salehpor 85 Foolad(2) Mobali 32, Seraj 36
