Beckenbauer: Germany to face "no easy" football match in Iran

IRNA - Three-time Asian Cup winner Iran will not be an easy pushover for triple World Cup title holder Germany when both teams face each other during the October 9 friendly in Tehran, German football legend Franz Beckenbauer said in a brief, exclusive interview with IRNA here Wednesday. 
"I think it won`t be an easy task for the German football team because the game will be in Iran. Of course, the German national football team has to stand the test in Iran," Beckenbauer pointed out.
"The Iranian national team has always, even in the past, been among the top football teams in Asia. I don`t know all the strengths of the Iranian football team, but I can say with certainty it won`t be easy for the German squad," he added. 
Germany played Iran only once during the first round of the 1998 World Cup in France, defeating the Iranian side 2-0 in Montpellier.
