PLDC - Tractor FC secured their place in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26 after a dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Al Duhail on Monday.
The Qatari side took the lead in the 35th minute when Benjamin Bourigeaud converted a penalty following a foul in the box. Tractor responded strongly after the break and equalised in the 51st minute, with Shojae Khalilzadeh finishing the rebound after Tibor Halilovic’s free-kick hit the post.
As the match looked set for a draw, Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh struck the decisive goal in stoppage time, his long-range effort deflecting past the goalkeeper to seal the win.
The victory takes Tractor to 14 points, guaranteeing Dragan Skocic’s side a top-eight finish in the league stage, while Al Duhail remain under pressure in their bid to advance.
