AFC - IRAN skipper Ali Daei is none too concerned about emulating the scoring record of Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas. Daei may be one goal away from Puskas?s record of 84 goals in international matches but for now, the forward is just concentrated on getting another victory at home when Iran play hosts to Lebanon this weekend. "Even if the number of my goals exceeds that of Puskas, I will remain with the national team as long as they need me," said the former Bayern Munich striker. "I have no plans to quit the national side." "As the best team of the group (on paper), we have to win the match. But this victory is possible only if the Iranians put the coaches? instructions into practice on the pitch." |
