| PFDC - Alireza Vahedi
Nikbakht the star player for Iranian champions Esteghlal who was in Spain on
a trial with Madrid's Atletico, left the land of the matadors for Tehran
today after a 10-day stay in Madrid. According to the Iranian football agent, Mr. Manoosifar, Vahedi was tested in different areas by the club and the outcome has been very positive. Atletico Madrid, the third most favorite team in Spain which is currently on top of the country's second division, will decide about Vahedi's signing after their promotion to the major Spanish league, La Liga. The promotion of the club to the first division is very likely according to the football critics in Spain due to their 7 points lead over the other teams in the second division. According to the rules of Spanish leagues, each team can sign three foreign players for their A teams. It is also reported that Vahedi was suffering from a bad cold and could not show his 100% in the training sessions with Atletico. Manoosifar also said that the Spanish football clubs have showed their interests in working with Iranian clubs in the future.
