| Tehran,
March 17 - Premier League defending Esteqlal edged out Teraktorsazi 1-0
to remain at the top of the table Sunday afternoon. The late goal scored by international striker Faraz Fatemi in the 83rd minute sealed the side to lead the league standing. Esteqlal men stepped off the pitch pesimistically last week trailing 2-1 against unseeded Pass. The Pass team made two amazing performances when the premier league games kicked off, upsetting arch rivals Esteqlal and Perspolis both 3-1 in the first leg. |
