OSIJEK, Croatia, March 3 (DSA) - New sensation has come from Croatian
first division side Osijek. Club official Antun Novalic has Sunday
afternoon confirmed that former Croatian and Iranian national team coach
Miroslav Blazevic will take over Osijek's team. Sudden change happened after already said Milan Djuricic would replace coach Vjekoslav Lokica who resigned Saturday when losing home 1-6 against championship leaders Zagreb. ''Blazevic is solution we could only dream about. He agreed to come and help us in result crisis. We expect Blazevic to take his duty Monday'', said Antun Novalic. Earlier this week Blazevic revealed he received a call from Aston Villa, too. Blazevic's best result in career was winning bronze medal with Croatia at World Cup 1998 in France. |
