FIFA - The FIFA president Joseph S. Blatter played host today to the Iran Football Federation represented by its President, Dr Mohammad Dadgan (left) and by Mr. Ahmid Reza Asefi (right - member of the Iranian Federation board). Amongst the numerous items on the agenda were the upcoming inauguration of the Football Academy (scheduled for summer 2003 and financed by FIFA's GOAL Programme) and a five ways cooperation programme between FIFA, the AFC (Asian Football Confederation), the DFB (Germany), the FA (England) and the Iranian federation in order to sustain football' development in the Middle East country. Ongoing training and specific courses will be at the heart of this joint effort. |
