PlanetFootball - AL AHLI star Ali Karimi has rejected a proposed move to Italian giants Internazioale, saying he is happy to stay where he is. The talented striker, who has scored 19 goals in 55 appearances for Iran, admits he is flattered by the interest Inter have shown in him, but believes his immediate future lies with the UAE club. "It's always nice to be linked with prestigious clubs like Inter because it shows that I am doing well and people rate me highly," declared Karimi. "They are a great club, but my intention is to stay with Al Ahli." "I want to remain here for some time to come." The 25-year-old has been previously linked with a number of European clubs including Atletico Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, Middlesbrough and Perugia. |
