PLDC - A press
conference was held today in which Ronald Koch, Esteghlal's Head Coach
answered to reporters. At the beginning of the conference, Koch emphasized
on the importance of the Asian Club Championship and mentioned: "We
have so far worked on studying our first opponent, Al-Sad of Qatar, and we
will hopefully be ready for this match up."
Koch by mentioning Esteghlal's recent problems, said:” In the past 3
games our team has had 30 scoring chances which %74 of them have been %100
scoring chances and our forwards could have scored 21 goals, but
unfortunately couldn't capitalize on these chances."
Koch continued: "If our team could have used its experience and play
what is capable of playing, today we would have been the IPL leader and
even be 15 points ahead of the second team. Pourheydari and Mr. Mohases
are great help to me and I am glad I can use their experience."
The Head Coach of Esteghlal club also said:” If I could have won all the
3 cups that Esteghlal is involved with this season, it would not have
meant that I will certainly continue with this team, and even if I was to
lose all the cups with Esteghlal, it would not have meant that I will
leave Esteghlal because of it."
Koch answered a reporter who asked about Mujahed Khaziravi's situation, by
saying:” He is dealing with a muscle injury and going through his latest
stages of physiotherapy." Esteghlal will start its preparations for
the Asian Club championship starting today.
