Gulf News - Al Nasr lost the top place in the First division football league after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Al Wasl at the latter's ground in Zaabil with a huge crowd attending.

Doping tests still unfeasible by Federation


PLDC - Doping tests have been considered for the Iranian Professional League players but it appears that such actions cannot be put into practice for the time being. This is due to the fact that the tests have to be sent to a laboratory in the city of Cologne in Germany for analysis.

Rafaat fined not banned


PLDC - Payan Rafaat, Persepolis player, went to an IFF Disciplinary Committee session yesterday, 9/12/2002, for his behaviour during the Persepolis and Malavan match of two weeks ago, when he had a dispute and fight with a Malavan player on the pitch. In addition to this, he was also banned from playing by Parvin for his behaviour.

PLDC - The eleven players banned from playing in the 7th week of the Iranian Professional League are as follows.

Sepahan wins 2-0 and widens gap


PLDC - Peykan faced Sepahan of Esfahan at home and lost the match with the result of 2-0 in the 7th week of the Iranian Professional League. In a very exciting match full of attacks and counters Sepahan presented a fine performance and proved it was on the winning streak and meant to stay at the top.

Kazemian star of Al Ahli in 3-1 win vs. Ittihad Kalbaa


TMDC - Javad Kazemian was the star of Al Ahli Club of Dubai , as his team maintained their top of the UAE league position after defeating AL Ittihad of Kalbaa 3-1. The first goal was scored by Al Ahli in the forst half with a perfect free kick taken by Kazemian which left no hope for the Kalbaa goalkeeper.

Pourheidari unluckiest coach of season


PLDC - Mansour Pourheidari, head coach of Sanat Naft of Abadan, is having the hardest season of his life facing controversy about himself and his team, repeated losses and the weekly injury of one or two of his key players plus other pressures. Jordan unfazed over Iranian confrontation in Asian Cup qualifiers
