PTV - Bosnia has relieved coach Meho Kodro for his refusal to take charge of a friendly match against the Iranian National Soccer Team.

"We had no choice but to sack Kodro and it was a unanimous decision," said Hamdija Abdic, an executive board member of the Bosnian football association (NFSBIH), on Saturday.

The decision to cancel a May 26 friendly against Euro 2008 qualifier Poland in favor of arranging a match with Iran was contrary to Kodro's wishes.

"It is obvious that we can't carry on running the FA like this." Bosnian media reported Abdic as saying.

"I have asked the entire executive board and the presidency to resign too," he added

Youth team coach Denijal Piric has been nominated to temporarily take charge of Bosnia's team, the NFSBIH has confirmed.
