GOAL - Javad Nekounam has stated that he wants to sign an extension to his contract at Osasuna, but has yet to sit down and hold talks with the club's directors.

The Iranian international moved to the club last summer and signed a two-year deal, with the possibility of a third which would be keen to make official now.

"Nobody has made contact with me, although there have been some comments," he explained.

"I am very happy here and feel at home. I want to stay in Pamplona, 100 per cent.

"Nothing has been said, but if they want to speak about things then I am ready to talk.

After a period of adaption, Nekounam now feels comfortable in his new surroundings and has been a regular Cuco Ziganda's team as they progressed to the UEFA Cup semi final this term.

"I am pleased with the way the season went and hope the club was happy with me," he continued, before reflecting on the European elimination at the hands of Sevilla.

"It was huge blow, both mentally and physically, but as professionals we have to recover from that," he added.

"It is a game that is already in the past and has to be forgotten so we can move on."
