Ebrahim Sadeghi

TEHRANTIMES - Saipa’s captain Ebrahim Sadeghi is just two matches away from the milestone record of 400 appearances in Iran Professional League.

Sadeghi, who has 398 appearances in the Iran Pro League so far, is a one-club man and has played his entire career in Saipa as he has been in the club since 2000.

Within the next two rounds of Iran Pro League he will be the only player who has the record of 400 appearances in the competition.

He has been offered to join other clubs several times during last decade, but decided to remain in Saipa each time. In 2010, Saipa Cultural and Athletic Corporation celebrated a testimonial ceremony for him because of ""his loyalty to the club"", calling him The Orange Loyal.

After Sadeghi, Zob Ahan’s Mehdi Rajabzadeh, Malavan’s Pejman Nouri and Esteghlal’s Mehdi Rahmati have the most appearances in the league respectively.

In the all-time league top scorers chart, current Siah Jamegan striker Reza Enayati is the leader with 143 goals while Arash Borhani and Mehdi Rajabzadeh are in second and third with 113 and 96 goals respectively.
