TEHRANTIMES - Sepahan of Isfahan football team defeated Naft to move top of the Iranian Professional League (IPL) table on Saturday.


10-man Sepahan defeated Naft 3-1 in Isfahan’s Foolad Shahr Stadium. Sepahan defender Ervin Bulku was on target in the 12th minute.

In the 38th minute, Paykan midfielder Vouria Ghafouri failed to score from the penalty spot.

The Albanian defender Bulku was sent off in the 41st minute.

Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari extended Sepahan’s lead in the 45th minute.

Naft striker Amin Manouchehri pulled a goal back in the 53rd minute.

With two minutes remaining, Bahman Kamel from Naft was sent off and Omid Ebrahimi scored Sepahan’s third goal just seconds later.

Sepahan moved to top of the IPL table with 62 points. Esteghlal is second with 60 points with one game in hand.
