IRNA - Persepolis live-wire defender Ali Ansarian here Sunday said he was doing his best to wear Iran's national football shirt.

Ansarian, who has been recently called up by national Croat manager Branko Ivankovic, added he would not easily lose its place in national squad.

The defender voiced his satisfaction with the training camp, facilities, and weather of the southern scenic island.

Twenty-five players started their four-day training Saturday.

Ansarian had a good performance during last Friday's
Persepolis-Bayern Munich friendly in Azadi Stadium.

He kept his nerves to beat Bayern keeper Oliver Kahn from the penalty spot and rattled the visitor's crossbar with a powerful drive.

Bayern came from one goal down to overcome the reds 2-1 before more than 50,000 passionate fans.
