Iran wins WAFF Beach Soccer Championship



TEHRANTIMES - Iran won the title of the 1st WAFF Beach Soccer Championship for Men 2013 on Sunday.


Iran defeated Oman in penalty shootout in Qeshm, Iran. The Persians fought back from 3-1 behind to draw Oman and won the match 4-3 on penalty shootout.

Palestine also beat Bahrain 4-3 in bronze medal match.

Teams Iran (host), Qatar, Lebanon, Bahrain, Palestine, Oman and Iraq took part in the five days competition.
