IRNA - Tabriz was picked up to play the role of the host to the eagerly-awaited Persepolis-Esteqlal match of the 11th week of Iran Pro League. 
During a session in the Football Federation attended by representatives of the two popular Tehrani squads, Persepolis and Esteqlal, as well as the officials of Iran Pro League Organization, the red-blue match was decided to be played in Tabriz, capital of East Azarbaijan province, on January 10, 2003. Head of Esteqlal Nasrollah Abdollahi proposed the Kish Island as the standby if Tabriz cannot host the match for any reason.
