Brussels, July 9, IRNA -- Ali Emamifar, who plays for the Charleroi Club of Belgium, has categorically denied a report that the Iranian players of the club have not been paid their salaries for the last six months.
"This report is false. Please send a denial. We have no problems here," Emamifar told IRNA here Tuesday.
Mohammad Mahdavi, Dariush Yazdani and Ali Emamifar are the three Iranian footballers playing for Charleroi.
Emamifar further told IRNA that the three had signed a three-year contract with the club. Two years have already passed and only one more is left.
"This report that we have not been paid them for six months is totally wrong. There is no problem," he added.
The website `Iranmania' last week reported that the three Iranian players have not been paid six months wages each and that if the crisis is not over soon it is probable these players would file formal complaints with FIFA.
The website claimed that Charleroi Club was in a dire financial situation.
