Pourheidari, the Esteghlal coach

IranMania- When news of the employment of Hojiej of Bosnia as the new Technical Advisor of Esteghlal was announced, many of those close to Fathollahzadeh predicted this as an alarm for the team coach.

After the weak results gained by Esteghlal in the professional League and the team's wavering predicament in the Asian Cup, Pourhaidari's situation is very shaky. He himself replaced the Russian Skomorokhov, the previous coach of Esteghlal, under the same conditions 2 years ago. And now Khalil Hojeij is the big threat to Pourheidari.

Hojeij

A source close to Esteghlal club said, "If Esteghlal does not defeat Fajr Sepassi and is eliminated against Al Etehad in the Asian Cup on Friday, there'll be no more chances for Pourhaidari and he'll be dismissed. If he doesn't sort out Esteghlal soon, he'll surely be replaced by Hojeij."

Khalil Hojeij was the ex-coach of Mostar of Bosnia and his brother is the present coach of Lille of France. He has come to Iran to discover the football talent in the country and transfer them to France. After making friendly contacts with several of the Iranian club Chairmen, he has now been chosen as the Technical Advisor for Pourhaidari and could be his possible replacement.

A few days ago, he commented that he would like to become a coach in Iran and he now seems to be the only probable person to replace Pourheidari. We must wait a few more weeks for clarity on the situation. If Pourhaidari cannot get the desired results, he will face the unwelcome consequences.
