PLDC - Ali Parvin, the Head Coach of Perspolis of Tehran considered the refereeing during the game in which his side faced Esteghlal of Tehran, excellent.

After his team tied in the game against Esteghlal Parvin had this to say, "I am satistfied with the manner in which my teamed played even though they did let a few opportunities go awry."

He continued by saying, "After some months the spectators were able to witness a good match despite the fact that the condition of the field led to a slower paced game."

Mansour Pourheydari, Head Coach of Esteghlal of Tehran, on the other hand, considered the level of refereeing no better than that of home grown referees.

Upon the introduction of the subject, Pourheydari added, "Because of the significance of this match we weren't able to execute our plans in an acceptable manner and the players did not play up to my expectations.

Also, in the little time between the Esteghlal-Foolad game and the Perspolis-Esteghlal match up, Pourheydari emphasized the need to reduce the importance of the Tehran derby.
