Tasnim - Persepolis football team suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Paykan in Iran Professional League (PL) on Sunday.

In the match held at  Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Morteza Aghakhan found the back of the net from the set piece in the 4th minute.

Soon after, Persepolis dominated the match and created several chances but its strikers failed to score.

“We are so happy because we defeated one of the best teams in Asia. I congratulate my players for their great performance against Persepolis,” Paykan coach Majid Jalali said in the post-match news conference.

Persepolis is second, three points behind IPL leader Pars Jonoubi Jam.
