IRNA - Managing director of Abadan's
Cultural-Sports Club said Ebrahim Qassempour was officially installed as the
head coach of San'at Naft. Talking to IRNA on Sunday, Jamshid Bashagerdi
added: "Following negotiations with Qassempour and initial agreement, the
practices of Naft will continue with the aim of playing better football in
the second Iran Pro League (IPL) after the winter break."
Concerning Coach Parviz Mazloumi, the managing director said: "Mazloumi has
not yet agreed to work with the newly appointed Qassempour and therefore he
reserves the right to quit the squad any time he wishes."
Mazloumi steered the Abadani side to three consecutive draws after Mansour
Pourheidari stepped down.
Qassempour has recently resigned as the head coach of Barq, a Shirazi team.
He helped Naft promote from first division to Pro League and then signed
Barq as the manager.
